Sound eco-utopias

This project is part of the continuation of the research of composer Stéphane Clor and is carried out in collaboration with second-year students of Grégory Meldray at the European high school Stéphane Hessel. It is a collective creation where students and teachers co-construct a musical work. Together, they will imagine "sound eco-utopias" in small groups, exploring outdoor recordings, collecting sound objects, and manipulating them on software like Reaper or Pure Data. These fragments will be assembled to create an immersive work, broadcast through different speakers and transducers. The project includes a moment of collective reflection on ecological issues, sound, and their impact, encouraging students to imagine worlds that are more respectful of ecosystems, thus inspiring the creation of the work. A collection of the created texts is also planned.

A public presentation of Eco-sound utopias will be organized, the date and location will be communicated later.
