La Boutique des Rêves

Laurenz is a discreet office worker. One evening, he takes a detour on his way home and pushes open the door of a strange shop. The shopkeeper offers him three dreams to try, which will change his life.

Equipped with headphones, the audience members are placed « inside Laurenz’s ears ». Built live by the 3 performers, the dreams turn the office space upside down, transforming it into a speeding train, a racing car, a rocket, a boat... “The Little Dizziness,” an instrument designed by luthier Léo Maurel, creates a shift between worlds. The binaural recordings and live creation make the audience, parents and children, sway on the threshold of a porous border between theatre and music, dream and reality.

Based on the short story and radio play by Ingeborg Bachmann Ein Geschäft Mit Träumen, translated by Magali Jourdan and Mathilde Sobottke.
