Stylus Dust

Stylus Dust is a sound installation that pays tribute to the record, the oldest medium of recorded music. The crackles and pops are playback sounds specific to this medium. These are the basic materials of a score played by an orchestra of turntables, combining antiquity and modernity.

And to these sounds is added the voice, the first sound to be recorded and etched onto a disc. It humanizes this composition in a temporal and meditative sound journey, nostalgic and haunted. It evokes a past that is both outdated and timeless.
