The music of Why Patterns? mixes synthesizers, vocal synthesis, and sound design in long cold electronic soundscapes, yet luminous. The group attempts to convey repetitive musical processes without ever losing the sense of an inspired lyricism: flamboyant, enveloping, with echoes of raves and full of stories.

Anytime, Pressurised is inspired by hauntology - the science of haunting. Why Patterns? aims to activate the power of the virtual in a present where the future is canceled: do not abandon the ghosts, do not give up the soul. Influenced by the bizarre and the liberating dimension of rave culture, the units are sometimes a certain idea of darkside jungle; a supernatural choir generated by vocal synthesis; strange samples, relics of lost futures. 

In symbiosis with the musical production, the images digitally created by Donatien Aubert evoke unusual and unfamiliar worlds, inspired by the work of theorist and cultural critic Mark Fisher.
