Concert Experience

Creation Step

This participatory concert, performed by the ]h[iatus ensemble, engages the audience in their perception of ongoing music. The nature of the responses modifies the sound production in real time. Rather than imagining an aesthetic vote, where the majority opinion overwhelms everything else, it is about "composing" the listener's attention.
Technological issues intertwine with cognitive sciences, the theory of individual or collective decision-making, and writing as play.
