Open Symmetry
Tristan Perich, ensemble 0
Piece for 3 vibraphones and 20 speakers
With Open Symmetry, the American composer Tristan Perich deploys a sound architecture of intense hypnotic strength. Three vibraphonists from ensemble 0 — Alexandre Babel, Julien Garin and Stéphane Garin — perform this partition of dizzying precision, surrounded by an immersive 20-speaker system. Between electronic pulsation and raw textures, this encounter of the organic and the electronic creates a moving material, opening a subtle path toward trance.
