Lyric Tragedy
Élise Dabrowski
Produced from sound and visual archives collected online, Falling Without Noise is freely inspired by the industrial and social drama of a large French group, a leader in clothing: Vivarte.
At the beginning of the 2000s, it is a giant with around twenty brands (La Halle, André, ...) and employs more than 20,000 people. Twenty years later, the Group is liquidated, its last employees are laid off in general indifference.
On stage, employees and executives dialogue with a chorus of loudspeakers installed in ready-to-wear mannequins and reenact the echoes of an announced fall, blending their voices with electronics and the trombone, a new aulos that harks back to the early days of ancient tragedy.
