noise'n'roll meets recreational musique concrète

4x4 is a solo sound action in multichannel.
4x4 is a live intervention that combines gestures & objects, patterns & cut-ups, blast fortissimo & total silence with a brutalist ON/OFF approach to real-time sound spatialization.
4x4 is a playground where speakers are filters; where the device serves as composition; where the blank page gives way to improvisation.
4x4 is a situation in which the movements of sound between the speakers are as visible as they are audible and are only made to make the music sound different.
4x4 can be played on acousmoniums, quadriphony, triphony, stereo and/or any other available sound system ... even mono.
4x4 is truly all-terrain.

During this residency, Arnaud Rivière would like to rework this proposal, improve the stage form, and develop the spatialization of sound by automating part of the setup, in order to be able to play things that are impossible to achieve with his current equipment, particularly in terms of speed.
