The structure of voices

The Structure of Voices is a sound and visual work that explores the idea of a rupture between the human voice and the body in the age of recording and speech synthesis. In this creation, several daily manifestations of the voice are explored in turn. Organic, amplified, or artificial, the voices of service and vocal assistants build an evocative portrait of our contemporary relationship with orality.

The project, envisioned in the form of an installation, transforms repetitive sound messages into free poetry, where injunctions become a disobedient and musical flow. Thanks to a system of rotating speakers, the diffusion space becomes the site of expression for the voices and plays with their fleetingness within the architecture.

This residency allows for the continuation of sound creation and its mixing for spatial design, as well as the development of the computer program to control the motors that will rotate the speakers.
