Concert Experience

Context

This project was born from the shared desire of the ]h[iatus ensemble and sound artist Sébastien Roux to collaborate on an artistic project nourished by their common concerns. These invoke notions related to the "fabric" of artistic creation, such as the concept of an open work or algorithmic composition, as well as others related to the reception of sound through musical perception and cognition.

Concept and Issues

The goal is to imagine an interactive, participatory concert performed by members of the ]h[iatus ensemble where, at different moments of the piece, the audience will be questioned about their perception of the music in progress. The nature of the responses will modify the musical production in real time.
