Murmure
performance in a sound object ecosystem
Murmure is inspired by the research around the 'dark ecology' proposed by philosopher Timothy Morton, as well as the work of other contemporary thinkers, such as Karen Barad, who have distanced themselves from traditional naturalist ideas to imagine new dimensions of interactions between humans, living entities, and non-living entities in the Anthropocene era.
Halfway between sound installation and performance, Murmure extends into the space in the form of a mesh of intra-connected entities in constant evolution. The composition plays with the infinitesimal and its accumulation, until reaching turbulences, and questions our ability to perceive fragility and the inaudible in the tumult of contemporary structures.
